CSE and Choice Fire & Security customer inspires new high-spec device

CSE Ltd has collaborated with long-term technology partner Choice Fire and Security to develop the new VA-10 voice annunciation unit that meets a specific, major customer requirement for a higher specification device than most that are currently available.
Annunciators are typically used to deliver digital, pre-recorded security, fire and general safety voice messages to intruders, staff and others who may be present when alarm systems are activated. Corporate, retail, education and hospital environments are among the main users.
Delivering security, fire & general safety messages – On-site message changing
The device is capable of receiving a range of distinct message trigger signals, delivering multiple messages tailored to different scenarios. These allow it to alert intruders, as a clear, audible deterrent, and also provide staff and others with reassuring safety messages and instructions, particularly in potentially high-stress situations. Messages can play once or repeat.
The 160x160x80mm VA-10 is 12vDC powered and incorporates a 25watt amplifier with volume control and a 4in speaker. It is mainly designed to install flush into ceiling spaces but can be surface-mounted on ceilings and walls (speaker panels are available in a range of colours to suit different corporate decors). On-board memory of 8MB for the message files is supplemented by a micro-SD card slot. Unlike some units which need to be returned to base to change messages an engineer can update messages in installed units on-site.
The VA-10 is the latest in a long history of collaboration between Choice and CSE, delivering innovative, robust security and safety devices that comply with relevant product and installation standards.
